The Origins of the Concept of Lemuria
Lemuria was originally a hypothetical continent proposed in 1864 by zoologist Philip Sclater. Over time, the concept transcended historical science to become a legendary cultural and literary myth of an ancient, peaceful, and harmonious civilization.
The Lemuria ID project reinterprets this symbolism into a contemporary digital nation: a global, borderless, decentralized community connected through open cryptographic credentials.
